AQUATIC THERAPY ‘FUNDAMENTALS’ COURSE at the PAI WATER TEMPLE.

The course consists of 7 classes total during a period of 2 weeks. We will start November 30th and will complete on December 7th with a closing practice.

FOR WHO?
This course is both for newcomers in aquatic therapy, as well as for intermediate practitioners wishing to return to the basics to improve their results with their aquatic offerings. We like to mention that although this is a practitioner focused training, this course also benefits those wishing to explore the water element in a nourishing setting. Bodyworkers in other modalities express this course supports them with their current therapeutic offerings as well.

CONTENTS:
In this course we focus on the foundations of facilitating aquatic therapy. Creating a safe and stable support will facilitate the receiver’s transcendence into themselves and thus the potency of any aquatic movements. There are a few fundaments in the facilitation of Aquatic healing that will allow for safety & stability (and ultimately flow). These are vital aspects to welcome processes of release and reconnection with Self.

In our approach to water therapy, it is fundamental to learn how to connect on that subtle and profound level with your receiver. Completion of this course will allow you to find more intuitive ways to expand both in the ‘above’ water- as well as the ‘under water’ therapy. You are of course welcome to join us for a progressive (level 2) course in November.

When we are able to operate from a space of being centered, both in ourselves as well as in each movement we initiate in the water, we will have mastered the foundations of facilitating support.

COURSE OFFER
You will learn the foundations on how to give a therapeutic water session.

You will learn:

> Observing and noticing in the moment

> Listening to the breath

> Observing body language

> Connecting with the water element

> The art of effortless movement in water: Movement from the center, Spiral movement, Infinity movement

> Going underwater. Facilitating the underwater basic therapy

> Supporting the neck from at least 2 different postures, behind the head and from the side positions

> The art of opening and closing a water session.

> Aquatic Bodywork Intro class

> Additional to the water practice and group desires, we offer a daily ritual; connecting to ourselves trough either water blessings, singing water songs and/or guided meditations. Creating a centered and safe space to enter the waters.

COURSE INSPIRATION:
This course is inspired by the FlyDeeper Academy, WataFlow and MeMow, as well as WaterDance principles.

WHERE:
The course will be held at the Pai Water Temple, a unique space situated amongst the rice-paddies in the north of Thailand and also our family home.

Pai Water Temple has a multi-layer, multi temperature pool specifically designed for water therapy as well as an ‘on land shala’ with running water flowing around it. The thermal water is rich with natural minerals, all natural (chemical free) and of the highest quality, flowing directly from the source at Thapai hotsprings.

This is the final Fundamentals course that we offer in 2023. We will offer a progressive (level 2) course in January. Completion of one of our Fundamentals courses (or equivalent) is required.
