ALCOHOL CEREMONY - Eclectic (Thongsala) with WORLDLY SAVAGES -Sat. Mar. 9th

Want to release your worry and rock out a fury on Saturday night? This is your chance to join our rock voodoo dance with the otherworldly powers of the alcohol ceremony.

Alcohol is an ancient preparation long known for inducing relaxation, emotional release and social disinhibition. It has also been used historically in Eastern Europe to allow for the cathartic release of emotions with music. This Balkan inspired ritual of a folk punk concert is the perfect way to enjoy alcohol, giving you a chance to drink and dance, purging darkness from within the unconscious.

Worldly Savages is a project which started in Serbia in 2008. Inspired by the Balkan folk culture, Canadian singer-songwriter Erik Mut moved to Belgrade to allow the culture inspire his musical journey, crafting anthems which rebelled and travelled beyond the Western post-modern society he escaped. The band has played over 300 concerts. Mostly in Europe. The lyrics speak of the nomadic trans-cultural journey that many of us have been on.
